香港帶傳呼機的人數眾多，共舞四集故事便圍繞傳呼機而來。林毓芬(黎海珊飾)剛入行做傳呼台工作，共舞遇上不少困難，當中一些變態客戶更講猥褻說話，令她十分難受。芬男友求婚，芬卻不應承，後來到應承了，未婚夫的母親卻想她辭去工作，令她甚為苦惱。芬又意外地以傳呼台工作的身份，助警方破了毒品案件。芬兄(黃秋生飾)有個相當難纏的老婆，經常找芬兄麻煩，直至其妻懷孕後，二人關係方有轉機。芬的上司Patrick(劉錫賢飾)與分居太太關係惡劣，經常吵架，其妻一向不滿他在忽傳呼台工作而忽略她。Patrick後來遇上客人M小姐(陳雪兒飾)，幾乎與她發生超出工作以外的關係
