回复 :王初四（陈松伶 饰）自幼生长在渔村，为反抗土豪逼婚，遂相约青梅行马恋人曾牛（林利 饰）私奔，不料中途发生变故，初四误以为牛已罹难，只好只身来到上海谋生。期间，幸得卖糖女郎李小翠（陈佩珊 饰）收容，暂栖于天台木屋中，认识了李大婶（卢宛茵 饰）、赵少奇（莫镇贤 饰）等好友，未几更与画家杜梓枫（郑伊健 饰）坠入爱河。 其后，初四偶然投身影坛，更名为王云裳，以歌艺轰动上海。此际，牛突然现身，初四惊讶不已，既难忘往日之情，又不舍身边所爱，顿感一片迷惘。然而，最苦恼的却是，这时初四又被诬陷进一宗官非之中，似乎难脱牢狱之灾……
