某夜，秒播秒播文与朋友狂牛酒后闹事，秒播秒播被关进劳教所受管教，失去教职，转而钻研针灸医术。文父陶发在城中经营鱼贩，生意颇佳。与根叔及苏强相熟。 在市场中有两帮流氓，一帮以鬼见愁为首，另一帮以大头为首。两批人自分地头，常因利益起冲突，陶发摊档属于大头范围管理，鬼见愁打其主意，但就经常欺负根叔及苏强。文弟星无心向学，经常留连夜店，在酒廊认识何英，过从甚密，又交损友，沾上毒品。另一方面狂牛、臭四等人沦为劫匪，藉星之弱点引星入伙，夜夜笙歌。 鬼见愁知陶发颇有财富，利诱他放贷，被发一口拒绝。鬼见愁见不得逞，制造意外用车撞死发。
