华人金牌女律师陈智琪（张小斐 饰）在女儿被绑架后，囧女接到神秘电话要求她在五天之内为一位死刑犯做无罪辩护，囧女否则撕票！被逼无奈下陈智琪联手警察金志雄（李鸿其 饰）展开调查，在搜寻线索的过程中，她为死刑犯辩护的行为受到了死者家属林淑娥（惠英红 饰）的质疑。这场事关女儿生死的辩护，陈智琪绝不能输！然而随着案情深入她发现自己被卷入另一场阴谋之中……
