回复 :双眼近乎失明的男子夏（郭凯敏 饰）来到钟导演（杨延晋 饰）家中拜访，向他讲述了自己尚未完成的剧本：十年前的夏，是一名春风得意的汽车修理工，在那个动乱的年代里，夏用好奇的双眼捕捉周围不可思议的变化。一天，夏偶然冲撞了一位少年——瑜（张瑜 饰），心思单纯的夏自感和瑜十分投缘，从此和瑜一起上山为其罹患癌症的母亲采草药，两人的友谊日渐亲密，夏、瑜二人决定以兄弟相称。然而，不久夏发现瑜其实是女儿身。十年动乱中，瑜因为教师母亲而遭受到造反派的围攻和折磨，一头秀发被剃掉，不得不隐藏了自己的性别，在恐惧中度日，为了帮助瑜，夏偷窃剧团的假发，结果双眼被重伤失明。夏出院后，发现瑜一家已经不知所踪。剧本至此停顿，于是钟导演和夏一起，假设了故事之后的种种可能……
